Bar Harbor library to host talk on climate change

BAR HARBOR — Cadillac Mountain Sports and Jesup Memorial Library will host a yearlong speaker series focusing on all things related to adventure and the outdoors. The first talk, with Dr. George Jacobson, former Maine state climatologist and professor emeritus of biology, ecology and climate change at the University of Maine will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at the library. His topic, “Long-Term Climate Dynamics Provide Surprising Clues about Maine’s Future” will discuss long-term perspectives on climate change. The talk will include results of research conducted on Mount Desert Island.
“Cadillac Mountain Sports is thrilled to help bring the speaker series to the Jesup. This partnership will provide many enriching nature and outdoor-themed talks from experts in the field,” said Joseph Moran, Cadillac Mountain Sports’ Marketing Manager.
