EMHS and Cadillac Mountain Sports will be hosting a Healthy Hiking event in celebration of the centennial of Acadia National Park on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 4 to 6 pm at Cadillac Mountain Sports in Ellsworth.

This informal and fun event will focus on appropriate footwear to help hikers avoid foot and ankle injuries. Physicians from Blue Hill Memorial Hospital and Maine Coast Memorial Hospital’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine group, along with an athletic trainer from EMMC Sports Health will be on hand to talk with attendees and take questions specific to injury prevention and treatment options. Matt Servaites, Outdoor Hardgoods buyer for Cadillac Mountain Sports will be available to talk about different hiking boot features and how to determine the right fit.

Cadillac Mountain Sports will also be holding a drawing for a gift certificate for hiking shoes. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
